Career Summary

The 26-year-old Argentine winger was added to Minnesota United’s squad after the club acquired him in a cash-for-player trade from the New England Revolution. Minnesota United signed Chancalay through the 2027–28 MLS season, with a club option for the 2028–29 season, as the experienced attacker brings versatility and proven MLS production to the Loons’ attack.

Chancalay joined Minnesota United after spending two-and-a-half seasons with the New England Revolution, where he made 58 appearances across all competitions, scoring 17 goals and adding three assists. During the 2025 season, the winger recorded four goals and two assists in 26 appearances after returning from an ACL injury sustained in May 2024.

Chancalay began his professional career in the youth system of CA Colón, joining the club in 2006 and signing his first professional contract in 2017. He made his professional debut on August 26, 2017, and went on to make 80 appearances for the Argentine side, tallying eight goals and seven assists. Following a loan stint, Chancalay was permanently transferred to Racing Club, where he recorded 17 goals and nine assists in 80 appearances for the Primera División side. Prior to his move to New England in July 2023, Chancalay spent time on loan with Emirati club Al-Wasl, where he totaled 16 goal contributions, 11 goals, and five assists across 27 appearances.

INTERNATIONAL: Internationally, Chancalay has represented Argentina at the youth level, earning two appearances with the Argentina U20 National Team at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup.
